POLICIES AND FEES

Session Format:

All services I provide are currently virtual, and are held via secure video or phone. For many, this model provides added convenience and is as equally effective as in-person care. For others, in-person services may be preferred or recommended. In such cases, I am happy to assist you in locating a provider in your area to match your needs.

Frequency:

Sessions are typically conducted weekly or every other week at a consistent time. Frequency of sessions will be discussed in greater detail during the beginning stages of our work.

Payment Options:

My standard fee for a 50 minute session is $170. I offer a select number of sliding scale slots. Please inquire for more information if my full fee would not be financially feasible for you.

For those who wish to use their insurance to pay for services, I utilize a billing service called Headway. After filling out their brief intake form, they will assist with insurance verification and billing. I am currently an in-network provider for Oscar Health, Oxford, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Aetna.

No Surprises Act:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

Consultation:

I offer free 15 minute consultations (by appointment) to potential clients. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether or not I would be a good fit for you. If we choose not to work together for any reason, I'm always happy to provide referrals. Please contact me so that we can schedule a time to speak. Email tends to work best for setting up a time that we can both be prepared for our conversation. contact@andreafreemanlcsw.com
